Green Power Hike with Pocari Sweat

Green Power Hike, the largest race along the 50-km Hong Kong Trail, is an annual charitable walkathon for Green Power.

Pocari Sweat was the silver sponsor of this year's Green Power Hike. It also sponsored six Sims colleagues to represent Sims Trading as a corporate team. Team members Kevin Yang, Alex Chan, Leo Lo, Jimmy Ng, Hugo Kwok and Ar Chung had to finish the 50-mile route from the Peak to Tai Long Wan in less than 18 hours in order to vie for the Corporation Cup.

Seven-time participant Kevin recalls, "When I got to the half-way point at Hong Kong Parkview, my leg started cramping. The sun was also very intense. I just wanted to give up and I kept asking myself why I would be out there instead of relaxing at home. Luckily I had a great team. Thanks to their support and encouragement, I continued the journey. Although it was a tough one, it felt really good to be able to work with colleagues from different departments. I hope that more colleagues can be involved in next year's event."

The Sims team finished in 17th place by completing the 50-mile route in just 11 hours and 51 minutes.
