A party was held in March at Shanghai's Jin Jiang Hotel to celebrate a new joint venture between Shanghai Sunny Life Enterprise Co. Ltd (Sunny Life) and Dah Chong Hong Holdings Ltd. (the Group). Sunny Life, which is a Shanghai food industry giant, is the Group's first investment partner since Dah Chong Hong Holdings was listed publicly.
Shanghai Sunny Life Enterprise Co. Ltd was set up by Mr. Wong Chung Sin, Managing Director, in 1991. The company has its headquarters in Shanghai, as well as a branch office in Hangzhou. Thanks to its core values of "Be loyal, enterprising and factualistic to our business", Sunny Life has become a well-known food agent, not only in Shanghai and Eastern China, but also nationwide. It now distributes over 30 famous international brands, including England's world-renowned Walkers Shortbread Biscuits. Its distribution network currently includes over 5,000 retail outlets and second-tier distributors as well as several hundred corporate clients. In 2005, Sunny Life also launched its own home-branded products, including eco-candy and marinade products, all of which have been well received.
Building on its joint venture agreement with the Group, Sunny Life will continue to strengthen its brands by further developing food production while also looking for new distribution opportunities. In parallel with this business growth, the company will actively participate in retailing, electronic commerce and logistics businesses. With these all-round market offerings, Sunny Life will strive to become a giant in Eastern China!
Since its listing, the Group has focused even more attention on the dynamic China market. Its joint venture with Sunny Life is a major step forward and a true win-win scenario for both organisations. "This joint venture with Dah Chong Hong Holdings has given Sunny Life huge motivation to succeed, and is an important milestone," said Mr. Wong Chung Sin at the celebration party. As a newly listed company, we must seize the opportunity to face new challenges. The future is looking bright!
